TCSI's Response to COVID-19

Dear Customers,

Like you we are facing a number of challenges related to the recent recommendations surrounding COVID-19. We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the how the current circumstances have changed the way TCSI will be conducting business and how we are going to continue supporting your IT needs. If you would be kind enough to share this with your staff so they’re aware of how to reach us that would be greatly appreciated:

  • On-site technical work – effective Thursday March 19th, 2020

In keeping with recommendations for physical distancing (we still want to be social, we'll just do it digitally! 😃), we will be reducing the presence of on-site technician support services. We will examine the need for on-site technicians on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the presence of a technician is necessary and use other means such as phone calls or video-conferencing to help troubleshoot issues. Please note that we already provide many services related to systems maintenance remotely and will continue to provide these services as usual. The only thing that is changing is our on-site presence.

  • Enabling “work from home” access

We have received a large increase in the volume of requests for work from home setups. While each request is unique and can be quite complex due to hardware and networking requirements, our team is currently responding with solutions very quickly. Understandably, laptop and other “work from home” equipment availability is currently experiencing shortages similar to toilet paper (coincidence?) but we are still able to source them at this time. For customers under our All-Inclusive contracts, configuring access for remote work will be considered part of your current contract. If you wish to have the process expedited or are not currently on contract, there will be charges associated with this service. There may also be hardware, software or licencing costs depending on your situation and we will advise consistent your needs. Please reach out to us with any questions.

Important:  Please note these steps when requesting support from TCSI:

  • For customers with a dedicated helpdesk, please email your request to your helpdesk (eg: helpdesk@mycompany[.]ca)
  • For customers who don’t have a helpdesk, please email:  tcsihelpdesk@tcsiconsulting[.]ca
  • Please include the following information in your ticket:
    • Company
    • First and Last Name of the end user requesting service
    • Request – please be as descriptive as possible
    • Best contact number – remember if you’re working from home we have to be able to reach you there!
    • Location (Home or Office)
    • Times you are available – with the large number of requests we may be reaching out after normal business hours if this is ok with you

Please note that if we don’t receive the information required your request may get delayed as we move onto other requests.

For those customers that are not sure if they can enable remote work scenarios for their office, please reach out to us at tcsihelpdesk@tcsiconsulting[.]ca with the details requested above and we’ll do our best to help you find a way to work remotely and keep your business operating!
